Le Bar du Balcon at Alcazar
L’Alcazar – A Chic Oasis in Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Nestled at 62 rue Mazarine in Paris’s 6th arrondissement, L’Alcazar is a renowned restaurant and bar that seamlessly blends historical charm with contemporary elegance. Originally a 17th-century jeu de paume, later an 18th-century printing house, and then a famous cabaret in the 1960s, the venue was transformed into a modern brasserie by Sir Terence Conran in 1998 .
The interior, redesigned by architect Laura Gonzalez, features a stunning 12-meter-high glass roof, lush greenery, and a mix of luxurious materials like marble, brass, and velvet, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere .
Upstairs, the Balcon Bar offers an intimate setting for enjoying creative cocktails crafted by skilled mixologists. From Thursday to Saturday, the bar comes alive with DJ sets, providing a vibrant backdrop for evening gatherings .
The culinary experience at L’Alcazar is led by Chef Guillaume Lutard, who presents a menu that reimagines classic French dishes with a contemporary twist, using fresh, seasonal ingredients .
